The Second Course in Our SAR Training Program

Take your young hero’s training to the next level. This course builds on early puppy foundations to introduce essential search and rescue skills in a structured, confidence-building environment. Handlers and dogs will work together to develop obedience, focus, motivation, and drive, while introducing task-specific exercises that prepare them for future fieldwork.

Throughout the course, teams will work on scent imprinting, search indications, recalls, environmental exposure, and problem-solving exercises that mirror real-world challenges. Dogs learn to navigate new surfaces, ignore distractions, and search with increasing independence, while handlers refine their timing, communication, and leadership.

By the end of this course, both dog and handler will have a strong foundation and a clear path forward—ready to advance toward more complex search scenarios and operational training.

The Final Course in Our SAR Training Program

This advanced course prepares dog–handler teams for real-world search and rescue missions through intensive, scenario-based training. Building on a solid foundation, teams will refine and strengthen their skills in increasingly complex search environments, working through realistic challenges that mirror operational deployments.

Dogs will be introduced to advanced search problems, including large-area searches, rubble fields, directional work, and multiple human targets. They’ll learn to work confidently and independently, demonstrating reliable indications even under distraction, pressure, and varying conditions. Handlers will deepen their ability to read their dog, strategize search patterns, communicate effectively with teammates, and make real-time decisions in the field.

Throughout the course, the focus is on teamwork, precision, endurance, and operational readiness. By the end of this program, both handler and dog will be fully prepared to take their Search and Rescue evaluations with confidence and competence.
